Julia Rosa PEER. 

Julia Rosa Peer was born in Tyrol in Austria. She starred in the award-winning feature films “Dead In 3 Days" I & II directed by Andreas Prochaska, which have been sold to 36 countries and for which Julia was nominated for the Undine Award.

She appeared in numerous TV and feature film productions, among them  “Das Juengste Gericht” (D: Urs Egger) alongside Christoph Waltz, as Hungarian Edina Legedy for two seasons in the prime time series “Winzerkoenig,” as Herlinde Molling, activist for South Tyrol and the main character of "Geteilte Heimat" (D: Ernst Gossner), in the international feature "Home is Here" alongside Anna Astroem and Stipe Erceg, as well as the female lead Ida Hofer in the upcoming feature film "Zingerle" (D: Eric Weglehner) and the Kazhak pilote alongside Rauand Taleb in “Operation White Christmas” (D: Flo Lackner). She will star as Laura Rossi in the first two seasons of the upcoming series “School of Champions” (D: Domink Hartl, Johanna Moder), which premieres in Austria, Germany and Switzerland in 2024.

In her first shortfilm “BLUATSTILLN - To Remind Me of Life” she wrote the script, co-directing with Roland Silbernagl and produced the titles song with Christoph Stock.

Her stage appearances include “The Crucible” (Miller), Nina in “The Seagull” (Chekhov), Gretchen in “Urfaust” (Goethe) and Hedwig in “The Wild Duck” (Ibsen). She performed at the State Theater Innsbruck under the artistic direction of Brigitte Fassbaender, at the Theater Akzent Vienna, Teatro del Canal in Madrid, Teatro El Excéntrico in Buenos Aires, der Berlin Art Week and at various fringe theaters. As a result of their cooperation of many years she and Berlin director Reinhard Goeber founded the DIVA Monodrama Festival Austria in 2011. (www.diva-tux.at)

Julia-Rosa is a graduate of the conservatory program at the William Esper Studio NYC where she studied under William Esper from 2012 - 2014. During her time in NYC, she celebrated her OFF-Broadway debut in "The Other Mozart" at the HERE Arts Center and with her solo-show "Leaving Ziller Valley" at the United Solo Festival. She performs the bilingual play in three different languages at international festivals in 14 countries and 3 continents.

Julia-Rosa's work as a voice-over artist in Germany include parts of Guinevere in "King Arthur" by Guy Ritchie, Selina Kahn in the award-winning BBC series "Wolfblood" and Louise in the Amazon series “The Widow”.

Julia-Rosa performs in German, English, Spanish and French.

Julia Rosa Peer.

Julia Rosa Peer ist eine österreichische Schauspielerin, Moderatorin, Synchronsprecherin und Autorin. Sie lebt in Berlin und Innsbruck.

Peer ist in Tirol aufgewachsen und wurde während ihrer Zeit als Schauspielschülerin für eine Hauptrolle in dem österreichischen Kinofilm "In 3 Tagen bist du tot" (Regie: Andreas Prochaska) entdeckt. Für ihre Darbietung der Rolle Mona erhielt Julia-Rosa 2006 eine Nominierung für den Undine Award in der Kategorie Beste jugendliche Filmdebütantin und war 2008 erneut in der Fortsetzung „In 3 Tagen bist du tot - Teil 2“ zu sehen. Beide Filme feierten Weltpremiere beim Locarno Filmfestival und wurden in 36 Länder verkauft.

Direkt im Anschluss an ihr Debut folgten weitere Rollen, u.a. als Franziska im Fernsehzweiteiler "Das Jüngste Gericht" (Regie: Urs Egger) an der Seite von Tobias Moretti & Christoph Waltz, als Edina Legedy in zwei Staffeln der ORF/ARD - Fernsehserie "Winzerkönig", an der Seite von Mimi Fiedler in "Ein Sommer in Kroatien" (Regie: Holger Barthel), in einer Hauptrolle als Südtirol Aktivistin Herlinde Molling in "Geteilte Heimat" (Regie: Ernst Gossner), sowie neben Roland Silbernagl in der weiblichen Hauptrolle Ida Hofer in dem Kinofilm "Zingerle" (D: Eric Weglehner) sowie in “Operation White Christmas” als kasachische Pilotin an der Seite von Rauand Taleb (D: Flo Lackner). In der Dreiländer Ko-produktion (ORF/BR/SRF) “School of Champions” übernimmt sie in den ersten beiden Staffeln die Rolle Laura Rossi (Regie: Dominik Hartl, Johanna Moder).

Für den Kurzfilm “BLUATSTILLN - To Remind Me of Life” führte sie gemeinsam mit Roland Silbernagl Regie, verfasste das Drehbuch und produzierte mit Christoph Stock den Titelsong zum Film.

Am Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck war sie als Hedwig in "Die Wildente", der Uraufführung von "Tannöd", Nina in "Die Möwe" und Gretchen in "Urfaust" zu sehen. Ebenso war Julia Rosa Peer im freien Theater bei den Volksschauspielen Telfs, Theater Akzent Wien, Kleist Forum Frankfurt, Theater Vorpommern, HERE Arts Centre in NYC, Teatro del Canal in Madrid, Teatro El Excéntrico in Buenos Aires, der Berlin Art Week und in der internationalen freien Theater - und Performanceszene zu sehen.

Sie arbeitete unter anderen mit Klaus Rohrmoser, Markus Völlenklee, Maya Fanke, Isaac Byrne, Essi Rossi und Reinhard Göber, mit dem sie gemeinsam von 2011 - 2014 künstlerische Leiterin des DIVA Monodrama Festivals Österreich war. 2014 gewann sie das Startstipendium für Darstellende Kunst des BKA.

Ihr bilinguale Stück “Leaving Ziller Valley" (Regie: Reinhard Göber) spielte sie in 3 verschiedenen Sprachen auf internationalen Festivals in 14 Ländern und 3 Kontinenten. “Ejaculation - Discussions About Female Sexuality” (Regie: Essi Rossi) feierte 2018 Premiere am National Theater Helsinki und BRUX Freies Theater Innsbruck.

Als Synchronsprecherin übernahm Julia-Rosa zahlreiche Rollen im Film & Fernsehen, u.a. die Rolle der Guinevere im Kinofilm "King Arthur" von Guy Ritchie (Regie: Axel Malzacher), Selina Kahn im Hauptcast der preisgekrönten BBC - Serie "Wolfblood" und Louise in der Amazon - Serie "The Widow" (Regie: Cay Michael-Wolff).

Sie ist Moderatorin für Film & Kultur Festivals, und moderierte zuletzt auf der Berlinale, dem Filmfest München, Zürich Filmfestival und dem Filmfestival Kitzbühel. Sie leitet Workshops für NGOs und kulturelle Organisationen u.a. in Guatemala, Indien, Sri Lanka und dem Iran.

Julia-Rosa studierte Schauspiel bei Bill Esper am renommierten William Esper Studio in NYC und Humanmedizin an der TUM School of Medicine in München.

Julia Rosa Peer ist Mitglied der Akademie des Österreichischen Films und spricht fließend Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch und Französisch.
